Outcry over scientists’ dismissal : Nature News

The story of Terrones brothers featured in Nature News reminds me of the troubling accounts of my colleagues in Turkey.  It seems that institutional bureaucracy and personal disputes will keep hurting the scientific ambitions of developing countries.  And this situation makes it extremely hard for young scholars who studied/worked abroad to find a productive and healthy niche in their own countries.

Instead, we keep staying where we are.
